Politics PHOTOS: Governors, Lawmakers Storm Lagos, Pay Condolence Visit to Tinubu over Son's Death

Governors Aminu Tambuwal, Governor Bello Masar, House leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, others paid a condolence visit to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the death of his son, Jide.
Jide Tinubu, the first son of the National leader of the APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu suffered heart attack and died before getting to hospital on Tuesday.

His death has thrown the family and the ruling APC into mourning since yesterday.

Politics NASS Begin Moves to Restructure Nigeria

The National Assembly has commenced moves to ensure the devolution of powers of the federating to state governments. In the ongoing constitution amendment, federal lawmakers plan to decongest the exclusive legislative list by transferring certain items contained therein to the concurrent list, thereby enabling the states to make laws in respect of those items. Leadership says this is according to a document titled, ‘A Bill For An Act to alter the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to move certain items to the Concurrent Legislative List to give more legislative powers to States; and for related matters’. The Bill, which seeks to alter second schedule of the 1999 constitution (as amended), is expected to enhance the principle of federalism and good governance. Metro Biafra: What the Constitution Says About Referendum - Presidency

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Prosecution, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla has said the call by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and others for referendum was a wasted effort, and without sense.   Speaking with The Sun, the Presidential aide noted that restructuring would not solve the myriad of problems confronting the nation. He said, “The demand for a referendum with regards to Biafra is a constitutional impossibility. “It is a legal and political impossibility.
