Politics Alex Ekwueme: FG Lied, We Are Bearing Cost Of Treatment From Our Pocket - Family [VANGUARD NEWS]

AILING Second Republic Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme was yesterday flown abroad for continued medical treatment but the Federal Government will not bear the cost of the treatment. Sources told Vanguard that this was because the Federal Government has reneged on its promise to bear the full cost of treatment and transportation of the elder statesman to a hospital in London, and referred the issue to the Anambra State government where Ekwueme hails from.

Radio Continental, one of Continental Broadcasting Service, CBS station is going off air today. Recall that  C ontinental Broadcasting Service, CBS, owners of Television Continental (TVC), Radio Continental, had in June 2017 relieved 145 workers from its workforce. The CEO has explained that the mass retrench of workers became imperative because the stations are not commercially viable. It is also believed in some quarters that the station is shutting down programming and others due to political tension arising from its alleged owner, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
