World President Kenyatta’s Private Helicopter Crashes into Lake Nakuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta's private helicopter crashed into Lake Nakuru Saturday morning after what is reported as a technical hitch.

The plane, according to kahawatungu.com, with tail number 5Y-NMJ and Aérospatiale 350B3e Ecureuil model was reportedly flying a team of political staff close to Nakuru senator Susan Kihika to Narok.

Among those on board are said to be one Sam Gitau, Anthony Ngari and the pilot, Apollo Malowa.

It is not clear if there are any survivors from the crash but police and military helicopters have rushed to the scene to rescue any survivors.

Obasanjo Shocks The World, Says Jonathan Approved Toothpick Importation Without Reading

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, yesterday, shocked the world as he recalled how former President Goodluck Jonathan reversed ban on importation of toothpick without reading. Chief Obasanjo said this at the official opening of the National Council on Finance and Economic Development (NACOFED) in Abeokuta while explaining how ex-President, Jonathan caused economic recession in the country. Obasanjo, who was the Father of the Day at the opening session, said he had warned the former President on the impending recession in November 26, 2014 when he joined others to celebrate the birthday of retired Justice Akanbi. Politics Jonathan 'Turns Down' Olisa Metuh's Request To Stand As His Witness

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan may have turned down a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh's subpoena as his defence witness. His lawyer, Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), told Justice Okon Abang that he had written Jonathan to that effect but that the former President did not reply. Ikpeazu said his intention was to apply for subpoena to be issued on Jonathan after the detained former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, earlier summoned to testify as Metuh’s witness ended his testimony.
