Metro Alleged Kidnapper Evans Sues Police - Charge Me To Court Or Free Me Now

Alleged Billionaire Kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans has sued the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos state Commissioner of Police, and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Police Command for alleged abuse of his human rights. 

In the said suit marked FHC/L/CS/1012/2017 filed on his behalf by a Lagos-based lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, Evans is seeking a court order directing the respondents to immediately charge him to court if they had any case against him in accordance with sections 35 (1) (c) (3) (4) (5) (a) (b) and 36 of the Constitution; PUNCH reports.

If they do not have a case, he wants them to release him. The case has not been assigned to any judge and no date has been fixed for the hearing.

Obasanjo Shocks The World, Says Jonathan Approved Toothpick Importation Without Reading

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, yesterday, shocked the world as he recalled how former President Goodluck Jonathan reversed ban on importation of toothpick without reading. Chief Obasanjo said this at the official opening of the National Council on Finance and Economic Development (NACOFED) in Abeokuta while explaining how ex-President, Jonathan caused economic recession in the country. Obasanjo, who was the Father of the Day at the opening session, said he had warned the former President on the impending recession in November 26, 2014 when he joined others to celebrate the birthday of retired Justice Akanbi. Politics Jonathan 'Turns Down' Olisa Metuh's Request To Stand As His Witness

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan may have turned down a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh's subpoena as his defence witness. His lawyer, Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), told Justice Okon Abang that he had written Jonathan to that effect but that the former President did not reply. Ikpeazu said his intention was to apply for subpoena to be issued on Jonathan after the detained former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, earlier summoned to testify as Metuh’s witness ended his testimony.
