Nigeria: Gallant Soldier Killed as Boko Haram Attack Army Location in Borno

Several Boko Haram members late Friday night attacked a 119 Battalion Nigerian Army location at Mallam Fatori, northern Borno State, killing 5 army officials and suffering heavy casualties as well.

The soldiers fought gallantly and killed 14 terrorists. Four other soldiers sustained various degrees of injuries during the encounter.

One of those killed in action, was Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali, the Commanding Officer of 272 Task Force Tank Battalion.

Last year September, he got an accelerated promotion from Major to Lieutenant Colonel for his feat against the terrorists in a previous fight.
