Naira Rains As Edo Decides

Edo state governorship polls have witnessed a lot of money politics as naira continues to rain at the on-going elections.

Various sources monitoring the election says agents of political parties were seen inducing electorates with cash of Naira worth N1000, N2,000, N3000 and more .

The All Progressives Congress agent was seen throwing bundles of Naira in the air, voters are scrambling for the money in units 1,2,3,4,5,6; ward 4 of Ikpoba Okha Local Government in Edo state.

Also, agents of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP are said to be inducing voters with N1,500 at the at PU 12/02/01/001, Egor local government.

The National Assembly has commenced moves to ensure the devolution of powers of the federating to state governments. In the ongoing constitution amendment, federal lawmakers plan to decongest the exclusive legislative list by transferring certain items contained therein to the concurrent list, thereby enabling the states to make laws in respect of those items. Metro Biafra: What the Constitution Says About Referendum - Presidency

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Prosecution, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla has said the call by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and others for referendum was a wasted effort, and without sense.   Speaking with The Sun, the Presidential aide noted that restructuring would not solve the myriad of problems confronting the nation. He said, “The demand for a referendum with regards to Biafra is a constitutional impossibility. “It is a legal and political impossibility.
