Abubakar Shekau is a Mad Man - COAS Buratai

Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff, Gen. T. Buratai has described Abubakar Shekau, the estranged leader of a faction of terror group Boko Haram as a mad man.

Speaking on Monday in Yola, Gen. Tukur condemned Shekau's new video where he claimed to be alive and in Good health.

“He – Shekau – is a mad man," Gen. Tukur said. “We don’t have anything to tell him, he is on his way to his waterloo.’’

He added that the Nigerian army had stabilised the security situation in the North-East and called on the Federal Government and government of the affected states to give priority attention to issues of peace building, reconstruction and humanitarian needs.

Mild drama on Friday as senior official of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, said plans have been put in place for officials to "sleep with" corps members on the eve of the Anambra gubernatorial election. While addressing civil society at a dialogue in Abuja, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of Anambra, Dr Nkwachukwu Orji said INEC is ready for the election to the last detail. However, his choice of "sleep with" caused a little drama in the hall, but he was quick to clarify that he meant the officials and corpers to be deployed for the election, would "sleep in the same place" on the eve of the election. Participants laughed at this even as the convener of the dialogue, the Executive Director of Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC), Clement Nwankwo joked that only those with dirty minds would interpret Orji's words with cynical interests. Man Gets Stuck On a Spot While Attempting To Steal Building Materials [PHOTOS]

The man according to reports allegedly got stuck while attempting to steal building materials from a site in Akwa Ibom state. Narrating the incident, Facebook user Dominic Esifa wrote: "Residents of Esuk Oro, Oron woke up this morning to meet this man Effiong from Udung Okung stuck to building materials he was attempting to steal in a site.
